About Garden Room Guide
Garden Room Guide is an independent guide to garden rooms in Ireland. We don't build or sell garden rooms. Our job is to help you understand the rules, the costs and your options before you talk to a company.
How we research
Our guides are written by the Garden Room Guide Team from primary sources, such as the planning regulations, council guidance, Revenue and published Irish prices. Every guide lists its sources and shows when it was last updated. Our editorial policy explains how we research, check and correct our guides.
We are not lawyers or planners. For a definite answer about your property, ask your council for a Section 5 declaration.
How we list companies
- Who we list: companies that build or install garden rooms and say they serve the area.
- What we publish: only facts the company publishes itself, such as where it's based, areas served and what it builds. We note where each fact came from.
- Order: alphabetical. We don't rank companies, and a listing isn't a recommendation.
- Claiming a listing: companies can claim their page for free to add photos, prices and contact details.
- Corrections and removal: email hello@gardenroomguide.ie and we'll correct or remove a listing.
Featured listings
Companies can pay for a Featured spot on our guides and on area pages. Featured listings are always labelled "Featured" and shown separately from the main list. Paying never changes what our guides say, or where a company appears in the main list.
We plan to add a Highly rated list based on public review scores. When we do, the criteria will be published here, and Featured companies won't get any advantage in it.
